BJP had already declared Pawan Singh as its candidate from the Asansol seat of West Bengal. Remember that Pawan Singh wanted a Lok Sabha ticket from his native Arrah, but the BJP did not give him the ticket because RK Singh was a candidate from there.

It should be known that folk singer Gunjan Singh also wanted a ticket from the BJP from the Nawada Lok Sabha seat, but due to this not happening, he is contesting the election as an independent. Pawan Singh has also contested the elections after not getting a ticket from the BJP. Also, BJP candidates Manoj Tiwari is from Delhi, Ravi Kishan is from Gorakhpur and Dinesh Lal Yadav alias Nirahua is from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh.

After not getting the BJP ticket, Pawan Singh Nebad tweeted that he would contest the elections, but did not say from which seat. Now Pawan Singh announced that he will contest elections not from the Asansol Lok Sabha seat of West Bengal but from the Karakat Lok Sabha seat of Bihar.

It is noteworthy that Pawan Singh had announced the Lok Sabha elections before joining BJP. It was being speculated that the BJP would field Pawan Singh from Bihar, but all speculations were put to rest after Pawan Singh’s candidature was declared from Asansol. Yadav caste has the highest number of voters in the Karakat Lok Sabha constituency. There are more than 3 lakh Yadav voters in this place. There are approximately 2.5 lakh Kurmi and Kushwaha voters. About 1.5 lakh Muslim voters play a decisive role in every election. Also, the number of Rajput voters is around 2.5 lakh. There are also about two lakh Vaishya voters. There are approximately 75 thousand Brahmin voters. About 50 thousand people of Bhumihar caste are also voters. Both Upendra and Rajram are Kushwahas.
